WACO – High school football rankings don’t mean much when it comes to the actual games, but it does give us something to talk about. Texas Football magazine now has the new district rforecasts out for 2012. The smaller Valley classifications were revealed Sunday and are also available on this web site. Now for the bigger schools. In 30-5A, the magazine predicts Sharyland will be the top team along with Donna, Edinburg and Edinburg North. 31-5A has McAllen Memorial as the district champ with San Benito, PSJA North and McAllen also in the playoffs. On the east side of the Valley, it’s Harlingen, Los Fresnos, Harlingen South and Hanna in district 32-5A. And in 4A, Texas Football predicts Edcouch-Elsa will be king of the hill. Rio Grande City, Mercedes and Mission will also make the post-season.
